Every modern display has Android built in. Windows comes in when you add an OPS computer. When does that make sense?
Built-in Android
- starts in a few seconds, no computer login,
- whiteboard, browser, media player and screen sharing from laptops and phones,
- with Google EDLA – Play Store, Classroom, Drive and Microsoft apps,
- no extra hardware or licence costs.
Windows (OPS computer)
- desktop software: e-register desktop clients, subject software, CAD, specialist programs,
- Microsoft Teams Rooms and a school or company domain,
- extra cost of the computer and system updates.
| Android | Windows (OPS) | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | included with the display | +PLN 2,500–4,500 |
| Start-up | a few seconds | like a PC |
| Apps | Play Store (EDLA) | all Windows software |
| Administration | simple | like a networked PC |
